Established in 2014, the Division focuses on enhancing coffee quality through research and development in processing methods, machinery evaluation, effluent treatment, and waste biomass utilization.
Major achievements include the development of Good Manufacturing and Hygienic Practices for various processing methods, evaluation of eco-pulpers and dryers, effluent treatment solutions, and conversion of processing waste into biochar.
The Division also hosts a Q-Processing training facility in collaboration with the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI), USA, promoting specialty coffee production.
